Cappadocia Tours 001  

Day  1        : The Cappadocia tour starts with an Overnight bus to Urgup. 

Day  2        : In the morning arrival to Urgup. Full day city tour including lunch visit of Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Then visit Zelve Open Air Museum, where three canyons meet in one valley. Drive to Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) where there are unusual mushroom shaped pinnacles. Drive to the city of Avanos for lunch. In the afternoon visit another beautiful open air museum at Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Lastly, before returning to your hotel, visit the natural castles at Uchisar. Overnight at Kapadokya Palace Hotel.

Day  3         : After breakfast departure from the hotel for Derinkuyu Underground city to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians, where as many as 3 000 could hide from their persecutors. From Derinkuyu continue to the beautiful valley of Ihlara, formerly known as Peristerema. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4 km through the valley. On the way back visit the 13th century monastery in Selime village and 13 century Caravanserai built by Selcuk Turk’s on the Silk Road including lunch. After the tour transfer to bus station for night bus to Istanbul.

Day  4            : After breakfast, depart from your hotel to visit Red valley with it’s rock- cut churches. Hike 5 km through the Gulludere valley, exploring the churches and homes on the way. Then visit Cavusin village , famous for the houses and churches of early Christian clergymen. Drive to Pigeon valley for lunch. In the afternoon visit Kaymakli underground city, where early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural castle of Ortahisar and the Greek village of Mustafapasa. After the tour transfer to bus station for night bus to Istanbul. 

Day  5            : Arrival to Istanbul
